Here at 2 Fat Nerds, we do a little thing called the chain game. Each week our members are encouraged to complete at least three days of workouts of at least a half an hour each. The idea is to build a healthy habit of getting out and moving, regardless of the activity you choose to do. Previously, each new year we reset the chain game back to 0, allowing for everyone to be on an even footing. After thinking about it over the holiday as my parents approached 104 weeks consistently achieving the goal, I’ve decided that this achievement should be showcased, instead of wiped clean for 2015.
It is absolutely fantastic for Mom, Dad, and Susie to have such awesome chain lengths. They made a huge commitment through illness, freezing cold winters, holidays and a whole host of other obligations that most of us get derailed by.
I think they are an awesome example that we should all strive to meet. Keep it up and lets see if you can get another full year in!
